A101 Birth year???

I got my Avalon A101 today - sounds great. I took out the shim and put on a set of Newtone DADGAD guage PBs - sounding great. I don't think I gave up much if anything by selling the Lowden.

The serial number on this guitar is A00554. Anyone know the manufacture years of this instrument?
