A101 string guage question

My Avalon A101 will arrive tomorrow and my first order of business after I've played with it a bit will be to change the strings.

I have a Newtone DADGAD set and was wondering if it's OK to use the medium guages for the low E, B and high E string.

Most of the time I tune down into tunings like DADGAD, Ornkey, Csus2, C-GAD, Gminor, etc - but I also put it into standard about once per week for some strumming.
