SOunds fishy, but we'll see

I am new to Avalon, and have only been playing for about 7 months. I have read many reviews regarding Avalon, some good, some bad. I have called a reputable dealer that I have dealt with in the past who primarily deals in left-handed guitars (I am a lefty..). He had 5 Avalon guitars that he claims are prototypes made in Ireland. He had 1 of each left. Ths AS100CE, and the AS200CE. However, wehn you look at the gutar, it says Gold Series. I figured I'd take a chance, and see what I get. I havee dealt with him before, and can easily send it back. This wil be my 5th guitar coming from him (not all mine). I paid $849 for the guitar. Anyone hear of this?
