I was trying to check out what I had said in one of my old posts on the Forum when this message came up:

The requested user does not exist.

In panic, I tried more old posts and got the same response. I am no longer in the first flush of youth and I must say I was shocked and needed a li'l bit of the beverage that Riverdog talks about in order to recover my equilibrium.

To avoid confusion I want to make it clear that rumours of my non-existence have been greatly exagerated.

This is not the first time such allegations have been made against me - some people have even doubted the existence of the members of my band - The Pickettes - see my website.

NIce one, John - great story on the Pickettes page too. So you do exist then, though at times I do wonder where everyone has gone - been awfully quiet here now for a while. Seems we get some new blood in, only for them to disappear. Guess everyone's too busy strumming their Avalons.

sorry chaps ... some of it still harks back to when we uploaded the old php2 database in the newer php3 forum code ... I thought we'd have problems, that's why I tried to keep version 2 running for so long before making the change.

Editting posts should be ok but it is only ever for a limited time, I think it's set to about 5mins from when the post is made, I'll check it out.

Thank God you exist John,you have been the life and soul of this site for a number of years. Thank you again for the kind words in ref to my new song Parousia,the second verse was interrupted slightly but I don't really care as I will be recording it again.
