L32C Ordered and excited!

Postby Thez » 10 Oct 2011, 18:22

Hi folks
My name is Mark and I have just become an Avalon customer. Last week I took the plunge to visit Belfast from Birmingham Airport with my friend to try out some of their guitars. Steve, Jim and all the Avalon team made us so very welcome and it was fantastic to see the amazing work they all do and the passion everyone has for the guitars they produce. My L32C is a few days away from completion and I'm really looking forward to leading worship with it back in my church in Staffordshire. :D :D

Hi Mark

Welcome to the Forum! :D Congratulations on your new guitar -the L32c will give you the classic Avalon sound and be a friend for life!

One of the reasons we all rate Avalon so highly (apart from the quality of the guitars) is the way that Jim, Steve and the rest of the guys relate to us all - we are friends as well as customers!

Don't forget to upload some photos for us to drool over and to order some painkiller spray for your soon to be sore fingers!! Oh! and get some more seats ready for your soon to be expanding congregation!

Long may you strum!

John :D :D

Greetings, Mark and welcome to the L32C owner's club. Had mine about 9 months from new now and still loving it. You may have bought yours for leading worship, but don't forget to drop your new acquisition into DADGAD, CGCGCE or similar and discover a whole new sonic palate! :)

Great - thanks for the encouragement - attached shot of Steve & Steve and myself with the guitar after it had, I think the first 6 lacquers, so once it is finished being sprayed, rubbed down, polished sprayed rubbed down polished etc ( not sure if this is technically correct - but hay I'm a newbie) it will then go for final fitting & assembly. :D

Ooops, something not quite right there!

I didn't get to see mine being built (maybe the next one  ) as I got it ex-demo, but I can understand your excitement. That's mine in my avatar, but it doesn't show off the bearclaw in the top - the Avalon boys know some pretty wood when they find it.

When you get it play it long and hard - as the tops open up they really start to sing.
