Not wanting to cause her unnecessary suffering, I took her to my long-time friend, former roadie and experienced luthier, Neil, who allowed me to assist! My hands were trembling as I held my poor baby tight while Neil drilled a neat hole into that flawless finish. But the lads at Newtownards use tough timber and she was very brave thoughout the whole ordeal. But, do you know, I swear she winced as the bit bit! I know I did and was pretty shook up, I can tell you. Didn't feel myself again until I had a half gallon of Guinness inside me!

If you want to hear how she sounds these days, I have put up a couple of tracks from the new CD, Eight and Forty, on my website. You can hear J320 playing a duet with herself and accompanying me and the dreadlocked daughter! 8)

Just wanted to say I think she'll be just fine John and glad to hear you'll be gigin'! And folks let me say I got my copy of Eight and Forty and am on my second listen around. The Greypicker is a genius songwriter and a wordsmith for sure. These songs have some interesting historical tales, in particular "Three Ships" and my fav "Cold Heart In Stoke". The instruments, vocals and musical contribitions by John's son Paddy & daughter Christy are lovely. So kick back with your favorite brew and give a listen to some great story tellin' music from a wonderful gentleman guitarist/musician, you will thoroughly enjoy it!
