Hi Lisa and welcome to the forums
Legacy and Gold are different guitar ranges with some very distinct differences like wood selection and the inclusion of abalone rosette but the biggest difference is the bracing pattern.
The Legacy bracing has a more open loose feel/sound to it and gives the sound we're best known for, the Gold bracing is a double X which gives a tighter, sharp sound which really lends itself to strumming.
The Legacy comes in standard and premier. The premier models get the pick off the best woods we have and also get extra visual enhancements too ie fancier bindings with back-seam and bound neck.
I play the L32 indian rosewood / sitka spruce and love it, it's got a great sound as does the D32 and I've played many before they leave the factory. I personally think the D32 or D25 rosewood with either spruce or cedar is a hard combination to beat.
Brazilian Rosewood (RIO) is a fantastic wood and does sound different to Indian.
It has plenty of depth but with a very crisp clear tones that is very distinct. I've owned one Rio / Cedar model and it was awesome.
I sure hope this helps with your decision,
