pickup suggestions for my new A200c

Postby guitarist 4 christ » 05 Oct 2005, 07:53

I'm looking to put a pickup on my new A200c. I put a LRBAGGS M1 sound hole pickup on it so I can play live. sounds good but I want to put an undersaddle pickup. I am thinking of the LRBAGGS ELEMENT or the LRBAGGS RIBBON TRANSDUCER. Interested in the B-BAND pickups also
Any advice will help I am just trying to get the most natural sound that I can.

THANKS ,STEVE

Hi Steve

We don't have alot of experience with the LR Baggs models but hopefully some of the other forum members will.

As you proabably know we use Fishman as standard for all Avalons and put a rosewood shim under the saddle that is the same size as the Fishman pick-up, this can be removed easily and there should be no need to adjust saddle height.

But .. we do use the B-Band A4.2 dual source system on the Carl Verheyen signature model and sounds great, but I'm not sure how it would sound when using it with your current set-up.

Thanks for the advice JB
I have used Fishman systems on most of my guitars already installed from the factory with no complaints. I am not sure of what they offer for add on systems, but I will check there website for options.

GOD BLESS, STEVE

Hi

I have a Gold L201 and fitted a Fishman Rare Earth blend pickup my self, and it sounds absolutely awesome - i would thoroughly reccomend it to you.
