Avalon No.2

Hi,
I've been away from the forum for quite some time after being ill last year. Now I'm back playing again but, after losing a fair amount of body weight and muscle I found my A32CE 12string a little too heavy and bulky, resulting in painful backache after each night's gigging. I discovered that by using my old Yamaha APX 12string (very small body & much lighter) the symptoms were not nearly so bad.
I decided to invest in a S32 (advertised in the Avalon site shop) but was unsure of how a small body would sound with a 12 string. As usual Jim (our guru) could not have been more helpful and his advice was impartial and a great help. The guitar arrived today and after hours of playing, the size and weight suit me perfectly and the sound is truly superb.
Here's the unexpected thing..........I had intended to sell my larger Avalon, the A32CE12 to finance my new purchase but when it comes down to it, I simply cannot bear to part with it. I watched it being built and feel it would be like selling one of my children, so now I have two beloved Avalon's.
Thanks Jim for all your help and advice, it's good to be back and I look forward to contributing to the discussions in the future

Cheers...........Brian

Totally my pleasure Brian and great to see you posting and playing again after having such a difficult time lately.

It would be great to hear some of your new work once your back in full flight.
