The JS model has a bright, focused sound with a rich full character, not always associated with 'thin-bodied' acoustics, add to this the rich full sustain achieved and you know you're onto something good. :D

You can also go to Jacques website and download some samples of him playing http://users.skynet.be/stotzem/soundsframes.html

Hope this helps.

THANKS FOR THE INFO JB. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY ONE IF I CAN FIND IT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO ME. I WAS NOT AWARE IT WAS A THIN BODY THOUGH. I HAVE ONLY PLAYED THE AS100CE AND IT SOUNDED GREAT FOR A PRODUCTION LINE GUITAR, BUT I DID NOT KNOW THAT AT THE TIME I PLAYED IT, YOU COULDN'T TELL BY THE QUALITY IN WHICH IT SOUNDED AND PLAYED. WHAT MODEL IN THE GOLD SERIES IS COMPARABLE TO THE AS100C OR AS200C?

BLESSINGS, STEVE

Trying to compare any Gold series model to a Silver series is not a good idea and it would only cause confusion, the Gold range guitars are made from solid timbers throughout (Silvers are Laminated back and sides) and so will have a richer, fuller more dynamic sound.

I know this is a bit of a 'non-answer' but them's the facts :)

HEY THANKS JB,

FOR THOSE REASONS THAT IS WHY I WOULD LIKE A GOLD SERIES, IF THE SILVER SERIES SOUNDED AS GOOD AS IT DID I CAN ONLY THINK OF HOW MUCH BETTER THE GOLD SERIES WILL SOUND, YOU KNOW WITH THE TRUE TONE WOODS AND ALL THAT. I PREFER A THICK, RICH SOUND WITH CRISPY HIGHS AND BELL LIKE TONES, AND I LIKE A CUTOUT MODEL WITH ELECTRONICS BUILT IN. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I PLAY A MARTIN DC16RTGE RIGHT NOW, LOVE THE BOTTOM END BUT IT IS JUST NOT QUITE BRIGHT ENOUGH, NOT YET ATLEAST, IT IS BRAND NEW AND THE TOP HAS NOT OPENED UP YET.

THANKS , STEVE

I would say the A200CE is what your after.

Jacques model is based on this only his is slightly thinner body depth.
