A big G'day from Australia.

Have just ordered a Legacy L32C with the Ellipse Blend pickup. Obviously a bit nervous as it goes against the grain ordering an instrument that I have never seen or played in person.

That said, this forum along with Jims helpfulness, has played a great part in the decision.

There are a number of artists I have a lot of respect for who I have discovered use Avalon guitars. Now having looked at Youtube and this forum members posts & comments, I have respect for a whole bunch more Avalon users :)

The L32C decision is my attempt at getting my "go to guitar". It will be used for recording original material over the next few months (posts to come!) as well as live performance and worship leading in my local church.

I believe that new instruments often bring with them inspiration for new writing... My excitement with this guitar is such that a new wave of inspiration has hit me already in anticipation, so I'm expecting to be a total mess on it's arrival. :P

Anyway, I look forward to taking part in this forum, and hopefully being a help to other.

Cheers,

Adrian McKenna

Hi Adrain, welcome to the forum lovely to have you onboard. Can I just say, I agree with you about a new instrument it will create an avalanche song wise.

A freind of mine called round the other night with he's new L32,my wife shouted at him in the nicest possible way for putting idea's into my head--after playing it he set it in it's beautiful case--and what was interesting was --inside the case where you put your strings etc there's a little lid--so he set the guitar inside and placed the neck of the guitar on top of the opened lid -which raised the guitar up six inches it looked fantastic.

We placed it under a lamp and sat on the settee just looking at it--my wife was laughing at us and asked us if we were mad-- YES we replied.

I know you'll love this guitar--it sounds as good as it looks..it has to be if John was still playing he's at 2am--but then john's young he needs the practice ha ha
