When was this S201 Made

I am looking at trading a Martin omc-15e for a S201. The serial number is A00174. It is lised as IR back and sides but looks more like mahogany to me. Could be the picture or just a lighter stain Can you verify materials and build date?

Hi Tomo,

S201 A00174 was finished in Feb 03 and it is indian rosewood back and sides with a cedar soundboard.

Apart from sunburst models or customer requests we don't stain the back and sides but, rosewood can vary greatly in colour from light brown to deep purple.
