Picked up some cables today at church....and Bang, over goes my guitar stand, with guitar.........and now i have a lovely chip on the side of my guitar :( . I think it's just the binding that's been affected, but some of the intonation on the bottom E has gone, only between frets 3-8 which is odd!

May have to bring it over to the factory........ (surely a blessing in disguise)

I know it's a little after the fact but I think you now would appreciate a Hercules guitar stand. it's all i would ever use. Very difficult to tip over and hold your guitar very well and easy release when you go to get it.

Sorry about your guitar. At least it is cosmetic damage only.

I have a hercules guitar stand!

Apparently they dont like having a couple of cables caught round the legs, then these cables being lifted up by a hapless Avalon guitar owner.......

And i know these little problems are part of lifes joy, but you know you never really want your perfect guitar to be blemished!!!

  I guess nothing is foolproof eh? I guess there is no substitution for carefulness for all of us. I do like the Hercules stands though.

Sorry to hear that Niall, I know what it feels like  was playing an outdoor gig in Belfast a few months back and a guy fell into the micstand in front of me and both of them fell into me and gashed up a good 4 inches of my Maton. It's hard when you're in that situation in the middle of a gig - do you stand up and swing for the guy, or not make a scene and keep playing through the pain? I think I made the right choice in the end! Adds character to your guitar at the end of the day! There's a story behind each knock and scrape.
