Future Changes

Hi everyone,

Firstly, on behalf of Avalon Guitars, I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support and input over the years. To all our customers / players and supporters of the forum, you guys have helped make the Avalon forum a great meeting place and information resource to be proud of.

It's 8+ years since we started the forums (Sept04), we've covered many topics and connected with players from all over the planet, it's been a blast guys, it really has, the feeling of goodwill from member to member has been fantastic, best I've seen out there and I visit a lot of forums.

The Avalon company has had its ups and downs but 2012 was a particularly difficult year when Avalon Guitars Ltd. ceased trading in May. But a new company - Avalon Custom Lutherie - was formed in September and has taken on the exciting challenge of improving and re-shaping Avalon for the future. This will involve several changes over the next few months. We will, of course, continue to be known as 'Avalon Guitars' because that's who we are and the most visible change will be a new website and online shop in the Spring, with more integration with our Twitter and Facebook pages.

A natural progression of this integration means the forum will only be accessible as an archive of information with no new posts possible, this will happen on 31-1-13.

The new company has asked me to help with this transition and I’m happy to be involved again with Avalon Guitars. We hope you will all join us on Facebook and continue to be part of the Avalon community going forward.
